The mother to be, the itty bitty clothes, the adorable books, even the mountain of diapers turns out to be exciting. But, I gotta tell ya, these decorations just put it over the edge. To quote Marguerite (the host of Jessica’s shower), “these girls are going to faint from the cute factor!” and I bet she was right. Held at Running Deer Golf Club in Pittsgrove NJ, Jessica’s shower was a “Two Peas in a Pod” theme to celebrate the arrival of her soon to ripen TWINS! That’s right, twins…one boy (Mason), one girl (Olivia). Like I said before, this shower couldn’t have been cuter! Even thought the idea of twins frightens me, it is still such an overwhelming blessing and should be double the fun, let’s ask Jessica 4 weeks after their arrival haha.

Anyway, back to the shower….Marguerite wanted to host an elegant shower for her dearest friend, with lots of personal touches, what a joy it was to be a part of! She just loved these antique hydrangea that I had in my cooler, so we incorporated them into the centerpieces (using Running Deer’s house vase trio).  She ordered all of these adorable personalized tags online, the staff at Running Deer was drooling over them! Of course the favors were 2 peas in a pod salt and pepper shakers to tie it all together.

She also ordered die cut butterflies that we attached to the rim of the glasses, just for a touch of whimsy.

In the chocolate room, she set up a miniature candy buffet that was a hit!

All of the candies had little tags on them saying "Jessica's Sweet Peas, Due August 2010, 2 Peas" etc etc, it was almost too pretty to eat!

Sorry for the bad picture, but she had these personalized shower games printed and even made the cartoon mom look like Jessica!

Oh Marguerite, that was just too much fun! I had a great time brainstorming ideas with you, maybe I should follow your advice and branch out into party planning haha!  Best wishes to Jessica and here is my advice for her, “Pack away the dumbbells and get a refund on the gym membership, your babies will tone up those arms like you won’t believe! At least you save some money there! Oh and be thankful for every crazy day.” Thanks again Marguerite for letting me be a part of all the sweetness.

We would love to help carry the wedding theme (or any other style) through the shower as well, and with all the showers that Dawn and I have planned and participated in, we are really shower pros! Between the invites, favors, gifts, food – you have enough to handle, am I right? Allow me to show you some of our shower options…

Our very popular rose "present" can be done in any color combo and the "gift tag" can be personalized to send warm wishes to any bride.

In Running Deer's Chocolate room, we added a coordinating centerpiece for the bride to take home after the shower. As if her car wasn't full enough hehe!

A simple colored glass cube with roses is affordable and chic!

We just did these lovely flower arrangements for our sweet Shannon who is just a month away from her July wedding. Her fiance sent these to her at the shower! Shannon is having a beautiful purple wedding with butterfly accents, so of course I had to order these phalaenopsis "butterfly" orchids.

Coordinating centerpieces sat on bistro tables, guests of the shower took these home as a sweet reminder.

I am doing this for a baby shower this weekend, it is a wishing tree! Guests write advice on little cards and hang them on the tree for everyone to admire, the bride or mother to be can take them home later and add them to her album. This would be a beautiful way to welcome guests!

Sweet little tags (these are from etsy) are the perfect size for a few words of advice. We did something similar at my baby shower, my favorite advice from a dear friend "Let your house be dirty, play with your children before they get too big."

I just got these cool vases in and I am excited to be booking them already! These are the perfect way to show off your engagement photos...2 4x6 photos can be placed inside the vase and fresh flowers can be placed in a smaller hidden vase. Guests will love to admire the special couple!

Ok, so we did this for a wedding, not a shower, but you could do this adorable umbrella/parasol for your shower!

Mary recently had the honor of helping plan a bridal shower for one of her best friends. We decided to get really creative with the centerpieces and they turned out soooo good! It is kinda a rare event that Mary and I get to actually attend an event, usually we just set things up and leave, so this was a lot of fun for us. Even better, we are doing the flowers for her wedding in January, and then will get to attend and enjoy the wedding afterwards. And to top it all off Tina of Tina Jay Photography was one of the guests at the shower, so we have access to some really great photos as well!

LOVED these centerpieces. We used bright pink spray roses to create a ‘gift’ for the center of each table. We wrapped them with chocolate brown satin ribbon, topped each with a bow, and a little gift tag. Everyone loved them!

Running Deer has this fabulous chocolate room. We got to enjoy yummy parfaits, and all kinds of treats dipped in chocolate. Mary created this piece with branches, hanging crystals, and more pink spray roses to accent the dessert table. 

These scarves were the favors....soooo cute! They were tied onto the chairs and helped to decorate the room and were a great useful gift for the guests to take with them.

As cute as Lee is, I still need to include some flowers in this post.  A few months ago we hosted Mary’s baby shower at Running Deer.  They have a room that is the perfect size for a baby shower (www.runningdeergolfclub.com) Our theme for Mary’s shower was ‘Mommy to Bee’.  I thought it turned out really good…here are some pictures.
